It will tell you that on all devices loaded with the new IOS. The cables here are not officially apple certified, the new software is trying to scare you into buying and paying bloated prices for apple products. Don't always believe what you read. I use non apple cables on all IOS devices I own, and all run the new IOS7 and have not had any problems.

I have ios. 712 and iphone 5 and no message on not a official cable. And the cable is working good.. I bought one to test it out and will buy more. Better quality then other other ones I bought before
