Stay away from it, got bad quality.

Use nail clippers for thin gauge, toenail for heavier gauge. Member had a piece chip off a few years ago and catch him in the eye. Not good.

I am using this little sucker - SKU 3986100

3 years later is still sharp and cut the coils as day one.
The handles are little short but I'm using it 3-4 times per week, no biggie.

Been using this one for well over a year. Ordered a 2nd a while back but have yet to put it in use. I'm sure there are better ones but this has served me quite well.

I don't have any problem with these on 26 gauge kanthal or lighter. SKU 7583300 are noticeably better though, I'd imagine they would out preform these on thick or multi strand wire.
If I'm ignoring you it's because you're a fallacy impaired fool. You're simply not worthy of my attention, sorry about your luck.

Same here... Got a second pair because, with the first pair I stupidly cut a paper clip to make a rice pin for a nemi. Big no-no.

Have a pair of these Demon Killer's SKU 7583300 on the way from the Bunny sale. Supposedly they have 3Cr13 hardness to the cutting edge. Making them better for heavier gauge wires. We'll see...;)

The Plato's are junk. Hence why they give them away at imr batteries. The demon killers I've not used enough to recommend but so far there doing good(time will tell). I've been using the little UD ones for months n love them. There only a 3rd of the size of others. I've found over the years its good to have a selection. Some are to big to get in tight places. Some have junk springs or cheap steel etc.

Would buy the UD ones next time but have used the Plato for 4 + years without any problem, with single wires predominatly of the 26g.

I use a Plato Cutter for several years now, cutted from 22gauge to Multicore-/staggered fused Claptons everything and never had any problem with it.. Oh yes i bought a second (!) one a few weeks ago, but my first one is till doing fine, even for real fine wires like .40 gauge when coil building!
