510 connector junked up
So I fixed it. Took a couple hour this morning but the little Pico's working better than it was now. The 510 connector takes a little adapting to make fit as well as an area of the circuit board at the switch has to be ground away then insulated.
I wouldn't consider this a real novices task, just one for those with a little aptitude and considering the price and experience gained the effort may be rewarding.
The original 510 is press fit so a few punches and a hammer makes short work of that part at least. The rest is a bit of a tight squeeze so a good helping of patience is applicable.

Hello Wylie, what kind of 510 conector did you use?
I'm curious, because I'm thinking of doing the same in my eVic VTC Mini if possible.

And by the way, you've done a great job there ;o)

I used one of these 510s. I haven't taken an eVic VTC apart yet so I'm not sure if these connectors will fit.

Edit: Thanks Bensooft!

Thanks Wylie for your reply, I have some 510s that I bought here and have been saving for a day if I need to change the 510 in one of mine Box Mods.
But I have to take time to get down to business and disassemble the eVic VTC Mini.
I searched youtube and did not find anything that would help me.

510s that I purchased here:

SKU 3464000

SKU 5429400 I think this small size could fit

SKU 2294303

SKU 2095500

SKU 2038801 And probably this one also fits

SKU 2013500

Just to be very clear is SKU 2408100 the connector in your photos? Thanks...

You've gathered a good collection something should work when you get the time.

Yes that would be the connector.
The brass cup that holds the spring in the plastic has to be ground to make space for the circuit board and after soldering the positive wire in place the base of the positive pin should be ground as well.

There's a resistor on the board the positive pin could potentially contact if the pin isn't ground/shortened.

This is pretty lame, I went to post a picture/review and I guess FT doesn't remember me buying these here, they're in my order history. LOL
