During the last days support staff here have posted information that FT is looking for other ePacket solutions several times.
But that is the kind of action that takes time. FT is probably negotiating with other shipping actors right now.

Nevertheless I agree with the opinion that it would have been more customer friendly if they had suspended the ePacket options as soon as they were aware of the situation in Beijing and Nanjing.

Just checked one package so far and its just left for Canada. If that is any indication, it might mean that UK packages are also about to move.
Have a couple more to check but thats a good sign so far

A second one has also just gone out to Canada

A few more purchased 1-2 days later seem to be moving a bit quicker as well.

Been holding back till normality resumes but running low on 30ml bottles, couple of atties, wraps, cotton and AV magnets. So took the plunge.

Saw on another post that packages with magnets are likely to returned. If correct, any box with a mag cover or a mod with a mag switch is returned to FT.

Does this fit with your experience?

For me using HKP both times I’ve used them I didn’t have any magnets. But seeing as it’s not routed through mainland China this may not apply.

+1 details
Yes the magnets regulation was from china post site, i posted on another thread
it is not in fasttech forbidden list, and this is a big part of all this

china post sites Forbidden Item List
Magnetic item such as headphone, earphone, speaker, amplifier, MP3, scanner etc.
among other things too, so there being rejected and opened and The rejection-resubmit procedure might repeat many times, and machine mistakes, making a big back log of packages.

If China can't sell their goods to the world the Chinese financial expansion all comes tumbling down. This is the Chinese model, they need to sell to the west.

Free shipping, goods returned from customs only to be resent. Pain in the ass to us but this disconnect between Chinese vendors and the old guard commie style customs must be costing FT a packet (no pun intended)

Very odd tracking history, according to 17track & other tracking sites, one packet has security return & but is now heading for the plane, another one is still showing LAL.

Now according to our postal service in UK, R.Mail tracking there both in Langley as of this morning. So worth a check on that site if your in the UK.

Just a heads up, my package that was stuck since 15th has just landed in France, so things are definitely moving now.

Mine is still stuck, but it got into that black hole on the 19th so maybe there is some hope.

On the other hand, packets posted more than 1 week later have already landed yesterday and showed relatively normal transport / wait times.

I can deal with waiting somewhat, but that kind of inconsistency drives me nuts...

Examples:

The "youngest" package, shipped on 22.6. shows totally normal speed:

Country: China -> Germany
2019-07-01 18:43, Frankfurt: Overseas import customs remain for inspection
2019-07-01 18:43, Reached the place of arrival
2019-06-27 00:03, Delivered to airline transport
2019-06-26 05:38, Nanjing International Mail has been exported directly sealed
2019-06-24 20:58, Leave the Nanjing International Express Branch, the next stop , "China Post Express Logistics Co., Ltd., Nanjing International Express Branch"
2019-06-23 12:37, Nanjing International Express Branch has received, pitcher: Hangang 13182828370

The "middle" one, sent 20.6., is a little slower, but seems to be in motion:

Country: China -> Germany
2019-07-02 09:43, Delivered to airline transport
2019-06-30 20:16, Nanjing International Mail has been exported directly sealed
2019-06-22 23:44, Leave the Nanjing International Express Branch, the next stop , "China Post Express Logistics Co., Ltd., Nanjing International Express Branch"
2019-06-21 16:59, Nanjing International Express Branch has received, pitcher: Xiaobo 13182828370

The oldest one, shipped 15th, in limbo since 19th:

Country: China -> Germany
2019-06-19 07:07, Leave Nanjing and send to FRA.
2019-06-17 14:42, Has left Nanjing International Cross-Border Center and sent to Nanjing International Cross-Border Center
2019-06-16 15:54, Nanjing International Cross-Border Center received (Korean Steel)

If there was a problem with it I'd expect the tracking to say something about security issues. Or return to sender. Well I will hold my breath for a few more days.
