@Anniepan Order no. C071443687
Hi, can you have a look at order above please. After tracking packet (RV962814906CN) was sent on the 15th July, it was sent back due to security return 4 times. When finally dispatched from Beijing on the 1st of August it arrived at destination on the 8th of August. The problem is that it arrived at Quito, Ecuador!! The packet had to arrive in Birkirkara, Malta as per given address. I opened a ticket (Q0724JBFQK) and was told to wait (I quote A LONG TIME) to have details on my packet. Could the items be resent or refunded so I can order again? Thanks for you attention.

Wow, that experience really sucks. :-/
South America isn't even close.

But there is something strange thing with this.

1. The China Post tracking data only mentions Quito (基多), not Ecuador or its country code (EC).

2. The Ecuadorian postal service (Correos del Ecuador) has no record for this tracking ID:
https://www.correosdelecuador.gob.ec/rastreo-de-envios/

If you're lucky it's a glitch in the Chinese tracking system and your parcel is still on its way to Valletta.

Yes indeed, Malta is in the middle of the Mediterranean sea. How it arrived in Quito is a real mystery.

$0.50 rebate earned
Good idea, @Anniepan.

It turns out that Malta Post has records of this tracking ID.

https://www.maltapost.com/tracking/#/trackedItems

So probably a glitch in China Post's tracking.

Not exactly, @Anniepan.

The current Malta Post records for RV962814906CN are:

30 July 2019 14:23:00 Dispatched from Sending Country CNBJSA
30 July 2019 13:18:00 Item arrived at the outgoing mail sorting centre CNBJSA
16 July 2019 19:59:00 Posting/ Collection

(CNBJSA is the code for one of the international mail processing centres in Beijing)

That indicates that Malta Post has picked up that the shipment is destined to Malta but that it hasn't reached the destination yet.
Malta Post's tracking system ignores shipments that don't have Malta as destination.

So it is still a good idea to enquire the status of the shipment with your shipping service.

Hello @Desuede, you are not helping at all now they think that the package arrived.

@ Anniepan, the package didn't arrive in Malta. The only information Maltapost have is the details china post sent. The package haven't moved from last tracking information since the 8th of August. And as in tracking it's in Quito.

I pointed that out to @Anniepan.
See the post right before yours.

When I posted the link to Malta Post's tracking service I assumed that someone at FT's customer service would check there.

There is still something odd about this Quito (基多/Jī duō) thing as Correos del Ecuador doesn't seem to have any record of this shipment: "No existe información"

Indeed @Desuede they didn't even check tracking before replying. The funny part is in the ticket they asked me to call my post office on this number (+593 2) 3 828 400 Opción 6990". This number is for Ecuador.

@Anniepan please ask staff to check what they write before sending an answer.

For the 3rd time I live in Malta not Ecuador!!!

I checked with my post office and they have details that package left Beijing on the 30th July. Nothing more.
