What exactly does this do?
I'm about to order a kit, and I'm not sure if I need this or not...

That may be needed for some clearomizers to fit down into recessed mod/PV batteries, such as Kanger products often need one of these to work with (fit down into) the VAMO mod battery.

In general these are not usually needed for a kit, especially an eGo Kit, or the kit would come with it. Which kit in particular are you planning on getting? That would help someone be able to answer this for you for sure

Also useful if you want to use a repairable ce4+/ce5 on a mod with a recess. Otherwise when you try and unscrew it, it comes apart covering your hands/mod, in juice.

For the price you could buy just in case you might need it in future.

I agree with ya on that Brian, these are good to have on hand, and since FastTech's price is so cheap it's a no-brainer!

These are also really helpfull to use on any mod/battery that may have the 510 threading starting to strip, that can happen easily on any battery, from normal wear-n-tear / age, or accidental cross-threading, and once it's fully stripped you can't really use it anymore to connect a 510 device to. So this would be great to have on hand for a partially stripped one, to screw this on and leave it there forever, or to attempt to screw it into a almost fully stripped one and once it get it on there leave it so you can use the battery again.

I like to keep some of these on hand since I do like evods and other ego threaded delivery devices and sometimes like to use them on my 510 connection only devices. I have one of these from Fasttech and I like it the best and will be picking up a few more soon. So anyone not sure if you need one, my advice is to pick up a couple to have around, as you are bound to need one at some time and fasttech has the best price on these.

Apart from the obvois you can use it to protect your mod threads and stop juice leaks in to the mod. You'll need to plug the hole with toot pick

No spiffy01, this adapter is more for using with you have stripped threads on an ego, or you want to protect your 510 threads, or you have a 510 only device that you want to use an eGo threaded tank with.

You want these "Adapters" for a uniform look like you mentioned

For Small DCT tanks
SKU 1384603 (Black+silver) Or SKU 1284506 (Silver) Or SKU 1402106 (Cheaper silver)

See also - 10 pack of similar SKU 1406002

For Large DCT tanks
SKU 1326405 Or 10 pack of same SKU 1406001

Ya it's OK, I'm sure you'll find use for it sometime in the future. They're always nice to have on hand in case you strip some threads too, so you may want to get another for future use just in case too!

Yes, the protank comes with one already, but it's not a vented one (No air slots). So you can only use it with the protank or other tanks that already have a air slot in their base.

Does this work both ways or "this side up" only?
I'm using an eGo and some of my evods don't screw all the way down, so can I use this to get the connection?
And I need to remove this if I'm using a carto?
