Continuity tester?
Does anyone have this?
I can't figure out how to use it as a continuity tester.
The specs state.. 'Measures AC/DC voltages, AC currents and resistance, also used for diode and fulfill audible continuity test'

Am I reading the specs wrong? Does it actually have the continuity test function?

Thnx
Budd

I don't have this, but wouldn't you just use the lowest ohm setting? If it reads zero = continuity and a beep?
unrealistic expectations lend to disappointment

Yes I see the leads.. I've plugged them into my ears like head-phones.. right?.. jussst kidding!
It's actually the functions on the dial that is giving me problems. There doesn't appear to be a setting for continuity testing. Ive tried it in all configs and nada...
So, maybe to rephrase, I would ask.. Does anyone know which setting on the dial is for continuity testing and which positions should the leads be plugged into. If indeed the item does have the function.
Thnx
Budd

Thanks rangermsr.
It does function as a continuity tester in the lowest ohm setting on the dial. I have tested it on several circuits. No beep, but shows a near zero reading of .001 with continuity and shows 1 if its a broken circuit.

I was working on a guess, but I have had meters like this before.

Your welcome!

Thanks JuiceKat.
Yes it appears to be the same principle rangermsr mentioned, using the lowest ohm setting.
Appreciate you scoping that out for me. :D

On mine I have to use the Diode Setting. It also has the ))) sign to say it is audible.
