Real A-1 isn't Nichrome!!!
Kanthal A-1 is ferritic iron-chromium-aluminium alloy (FeCrAl alloy). If it's nickel-chrome, I would not recommend using it for vaping...
Hell yeah, it's rocket science!

Personally I would be more worried about chromium and aluminium than nickel when it comes to heading and inhaling vapor. Unless the alloy is very stable... Aluminium is linked to Alzheimer's and chromium is highly toxic in certain forms.
The thing to consider though is that with both these alloys the temperatures required to actually degrade the metal and release it into the vapor produced is so high that the wire would be a melted blob on the base of your atomizer before it became an issue.
As for it being Nichrome wire... Probably just a miss-print when they posted the details. More than likely someone just copy/pasted the standard wire profile and filled in the details. Hopefully staff will clear this up as generally when fasttech includes the word 'Authentic' it is the real deal.

Maybe it's only suggestive, but I prefer kanthal as it has less influence on the flavour.
I hope FT will clear up this error soon.
Considering most pre-coiled atty's contain nichrome wire, I assume it is nichrome they're selling.

Hm, this is like 32awg. i'll wait for the 28awg stuff, the .321mm size.

Kanthal lasts by forming an aluminum oxide layer on the surface like regular aluminum. That's supposed to be a safe substance; who knows.

FT needs to fix this critical mistake, because if this is A1 Kanthal more people will buy it. Which will lead to them selling the thicker Kanthal A1.

I believe the "aluminum causes Alzheimer" thing was debunked years ago. Seems the brain slices they were using in the lab were wrapped in aluminum foil.
