Just got mine, (18 days Swiss economy post), shafts are straight except on the blue one, but the red one stayed in a puddle of ink or glue (not sure, but hard as hell) and feels a bit catchy. Great QC xD

Edit: if these sizes are correct, I've been building everything under 2mm (blue screwdriver) since starting micro coils.

@voiceoverip,

I've been building everything under 2mm (blue screwdriver) since starting micro coils.

I did the same until I got a micrometer and measured the "Blue Screwdriver" at 1.93mm some were 1.87....

I'm out.....have some fun. Eh?

Search for "Kuro Concepts CW Coil Winders" on YouTube. Plenty more demo's/reviews of the real thing.

I have that UD jig. It's a nice thing to own (good and heavy, removable pins), and I like your addition of the kuro top. Think I paid ~$9 for mine. Feels like a luxury to use it.

Thing is, I can't justify getting a kuro. Microcoils have always come out just fine, whether on a screwdriver or a proper jig. Spaced coil are a different story, however. Kuro won't help with that. Maybe if you are doing parallel coils and removing one after, but that seems like it would be easier to manage by hand.

@zeexc
got the same feeling as you: dream vs reality. Mine had additional screw which were so hard to remove. When removed, couldn't make any coil right, wire would "overlap", though i follow exactly tutorials for original Kuro Concepts. Clearly a very low quality copy. Title should state this "clearly" (at least "authentic" or "style" depending if it's an original or a copy).
Extremely disappointed on those.

I thought Mine was the lowest standard one. Home made clone of the clone that cost less than one dollar ...
Cable Cap with Kayfun Screw...
it's cheap but it's still work great for me and so far it's made more than 100's coils perfectly.
Still very happy with it :D

I am looking for a handy atty holder. Preferably mounted to a small vise or big base w/ hand rest to steady it for the pulls. Right now I have one that is bolted to a wide base but ugly. I should just mount 510 connector to wood; rainy day project.

I bought the same set of three coilers, and really don't get it. By the time I've found the relevant bits that are rattling around in my tool box, threaded the wire, stopped the screw head from doing its best to create a stove top coil, and got everything straight again after removing the finished product; I could have made a pair of perfect coils on the pin vice I normally use.
