I almost bought the clear... glad I bought the transparent blue... Not sure but, it appears it would be hard to see a compromised wrap with the clear.

The only stuff I have is a big roll of the clear so it is all I use and in person it is really not to hard to see if the wrap is damaged. I suppose you would have to look a little more closely than at a blue one but honestly not too hard to see. I tried to wrap one with paper wrapper after reading this post and I had a hard time getting the wrapper over the paper. It turn out alright looking when finished but I don't think I will attempt it again.

After successfully ignoring Google, FAQ's, the board search and leaving a undecipherable post in the wrong sub-forum don't expect an intelligent reply.

Good to know... I debated (myself) before deciding to buy the blue for this very reason. I should have asked. ;)

We’re paying congress millions to do nothing. We’re paying Trump nothing to do everything.

@vapeluvr If someone requests it then instead of posting my dropbox link for it i would upload to filefactory/mediafire/zippyshare/rapidgator (Or one of the other file share sites of the hundreds out there)

@Others

Paper: thinner is better, though i don't recommend going as thin as tissue paper or some of the fine/art papers that can get down to like 15-20gsm. My flashlight will happily take ones wrapped in ~110ish gsm though i imagine some flashlights/mech-mods with tighter clearances are gonna need a lot thinner stuff.

Application: I'd be sure to trim so the wrap paper does not overlap, just butting together is ideal, and i typically use either a glue roller (the kind that look like a ballpoint on steroids), or dollar tree scotch tape (the stuff is so thin just looking at it cross eyed will make it tear).

Here is the wrapper who's design I stole from a picture of a iStick wrapper on the bay. A thin application of glue would have definitely made it easier to get the shrink tube over it. I will try this suggestion next time I need to wrap a battery.

It would be nice if FT sourced and sold some novelty printed wraps like carbon fiber look, comic book character wraps, sports team wraps, etc. The sky's the limit.

On another note, I wish FT would sell better and a greater variety of wraps for our mods.

Smoking is Dead, Vaping is the Future, and the Future is Now... So I will ask a percentage of your sales for each device review I do.

In case anybody wants to try making their own wrappers these are the sizes you need to make your own templates in Photoshop or other photo editor.

Width - 18XXX - 213.618897638 pix - 56.52 mm - 2.225 in

Width- 26XXX - 308.560629921 pix - 81.64 mm - 3.214 in

Height - XX650 - 245.669291339 pix - 65 mm - 2.559 in

Height - XX500 - 188.976377953 pix - 50 mm - 1.968 in

Height - XX350 - 132.283464567 pix - 35 mm - 1.377 in

You can probably round off the pixel numbers. :)

Picky picky picky :P - I blame photoshop for not having spell checking (at least cs2 doesn't)

Better?

@DaVyper - Why don't you also put the corrected photo in your first post? It will help to avoid a possible embarrassing moment for somebody showing off their newly wrapped batteries to their English teacher. :)
