Good friggin' question. I have an extra set of these so I'm going to clean my Aerotank mega soon and check to see if they fit. The top oring on my Aerotank Mega is a little damaged so this would be great if they did fit. Hopefully I'll get around to this tomorrow. Let you know.

I just decided to try it and it is a really tight fit at the top, but a little better at the bottom. All in all, I would say that don't fit. You have to screw everything so tightly that you risk breaking the glass.

Realize that my subtank orings are the authentic kanger orings. These are not authentic so if they are just slightly thinner they may work. but you have to buy them to find out.

Sorry.

Thanks for the try, I really appreciate it, you could boil them first before you try, it would be alot better.

If you have a good razor blade, you could shave a bit off the o-rings to make the fit a bit more appropriate.

Boiling them would make them expand. No bueno. If anything, freezing might do the trick.

If any of the Aerotank Mega glass replacements on here are even slightly thinner than the original, then it could work.

I have an authentic Aerotank mega and the glass is very thick. Thicker than a subtank's glass.

In the end, it's all a crap shoot.

You could try Johnny's remedy, though.

I said about the boiling because they will make them softly, so easier to use.

But freezing them it might be a solution eather.

I might buy some of them and give them a try.

I've even found subtank o-rings to fit in a glass orchid v6 if you cut them properly ;-)

As well as quite a few other atties, plus the flat gaskets in those kits are pretty useful for atties like foggers and the like also.
