It's been reported to be over-powered at low resistances and low wattages (when in PWM step-down): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMED8m8I0g4&t=37m8s
V = dU/dq | I = dq/dt | P = dU/dt = V·I | V = I·R

Thanks for the video SteveLy. Actually I am usiing around 1.5 ohm where actual watt and machine power are close to each other. It makes me think there is something wrong with resistance read by mod. I need to double check it.

I have the original KBOX mod and it appears that these mod is plagued by the same early cut off (3.5V rather than the common 3.2V) so it appears that the battery is draining faster but it won't take as long to charge the empty battery that came out of this mod. Not really a big concern to me, I have plenty of 18650's around.

I have noticed this always stops firing at 45% battery with my sony vtc4s.. in my mind that is perfect for lithium ion ?.. I'm not suggesting they did this to give people the optimal battery longevity hehe, makes me happy though :)

I can confirm that when I put my 18650s in the charger when I take them out of my Kbox, the voltage reads 3.55V. You miss some capacity that way, especially at lower wattages.
