My SUBOX mod started venting out smoke from the charge port
My SUBOX mod started venting out smoke from the charge port as if a fire started inside the mod while I was in the car vaping it. I build my coils safely but this still happened I threw it quickly out the window afraid it was gonna blow up I was vaping around .5-.6 ohms at 28-30 watts using a Samsung 18560 battery. I Can't get a replacement one I don't know where I threw it so no proof Kanger wants proof but just informing people this can happen I have no idea why it happened

Sorry to hear that randyk90s. It sounds like the board inside it fried. Unfortunately this is the downside of regulated devices. Not if but when...it will happen. I still like them though.

A number of things could of happened there that wasn't necessarily your fault. It could have been moisture in the mod, shotty electronics, etc. I don't see how the build you were using could of done it, but really who knows.

Although you did the right thing to chuck it, but this will make it hard to claim a warranty ( without a product to return, evaluate ). I'm sure you tried to retrace your 'footsteps'.Maybe try again too find it?

Better to be safe than sorry :)

Could be Nerf. Although one can certainly do this, it may not be the best idea. Then again, it's not OP's fault for using it the way it was advertised.

Still, using a device like this while charging it can put too much stress on the innards. If it were me, I would just use a regular charger. It still sux for Op.

edit: Passthrough vaping only makes sense to me while in the car. I would want to be able to do this if I had to drive a lot

Couple of extra fresh batteries in a case is no hardship.

True, but it's hard to change batts driving down the highway lol. I guess the best idea would be to stop, change batts, carry on.

I'm getting too lazy these days :D
