Is it stainless or kanthal wire on the 0.25 and 0.50 heads?

Ah, that explains it.
I did a double take at the 0.5 version and kinda wondered but assumed that this 0.25 version was Ni200.

Decimal points throw me off :)

Thanks

So all the coil heads are temp control yes?
Also is it a bad idea to use temp control wire on regular mode?

Well - Don't use Ni200 wire on a regular mod - I am not sure about Stainless Steel - I only found out about Stainless Steel as a usable wire recently. Anyone know about Stainless Steel?

From another thread - Answers Stainless Steel wire question
Question : Which benefits are there to SS

SteveLy - It doesn't rust like Kanthal and it can be used in normal regulated wattage mods.
- It can also be used for temperature control without needing ultra low resistance (and high currents from your mod) unlike Ni200.
- It does not scare some people as much as "toxic" nickel does.
...off the top of my head.

even the .25 and .50 are Stainless steel, they are not considered as "temperature control coils". SS has only a temp coeffiency of 0.00010 (or whatever.. lets say 10). Titanium around 35 and nickel of 70.

So SS are for regular vaping but can also be used for TC if you have a mod with an adjustable TCR (sxk nebula, koopor). It is a bit choppy because of the low TCR.

So yes, they are somehow TC, but no one would say TC coil because it does not work really well so far as we need better mods for that.

SS is closer to kanthal than to Titanium.

i use ss wire about a year for nearly all my normal coils(not TC). like watercool said only a few mods can handle ss wire for TC, but it is possible. for me it is the best and safest(for our health) wire and you can handle it so easy.
