How to revive the coil heads?
Hi.

Got a pack of these some time ago and noticed that the coil heads last only one week. Then I get bad taste and slight burns.
Washed with tap water, left them soak for a couple of days, scraped the gunk off the coil with a toothpick, tried cleaning the rest with a cotton stick, but it doesn't help much. The coil is still gunky and black inside.

I'm using my own eLiquids with ~30/70 PG/VG and ~10% or less flavourings.

Any idea how to revive the coil heads and make them last longer?

Good question @overdrivex. I'm looking forward to some ideas for that too.

Seen a video where a guy stood his in pure vodka for a couple of days too degunk the cotton wick...let them dry for a couple more days and said they worked like new again....might be worth a try?

the problem with the new sub ohm coils. They are tight packed with cotton. If you drown this in vodka it will never come dry. also the sugar in the Vodka will melt afterwards and make the cotton sticky.
Better is Ethanol or higher if available for cleaning.

Dude, where did you find sugar in vodka?! It's a water based ethanol solution. No other components.

People used to try to revive old 510 atomizers a few years back (vodka, denture cleaner, rubbing alcohol). It was never worth the hassle. I would just look at rebuilding these, they don't look to hard to get apart.

Werent these SS Uwell coils at 0.25 only meant to be used on Power though, not TC?

I have a few old ones.
Should try building at least one to see if I would like them in TC.
Remember in power I wasn't thrilled with them :(

But I think that was a few months before SS really worked properly in evics, Cuboids, etc.
