Gauge doesn't match other wires?
I bought two spools of the 24g, and it looks like the wire is alot thinner than the GPLAT 24G that I have, I also confirmed this with an ohm reader and it's reading much higher. isn't 316L supposed to be the same as GPLAT?

In any case, the 316L jewlery making wire I got off ebay is working pretty well, and actually matches the gauge of the GPLAT.

I thought Gplat was 317L?
KF4 Leaking? For a more secure seal, replace the o-ring #16 with one that is 1.5mm cross section. SKU 1536606 or SKU 1536607

Gplat is actually welding SS used in MIG's so the the resistance might be off a little depending on a few factors. GPlat markets their "haywire" and "elite" but it's just 316L and 317L welding. I've noticed that sometime gauges differ depending on where the wire is manufactured and if they are using gauges or mm then it will vary a little but not too much but i.e. if it's manufactured overseas and sold in the US, they prob use mm and slap a label corresponding with the US gauge. I usually tend to stick with wire manufactured in the US in fact a certain site I get my wire from has great wire IMO and now 316L ribbon lol.

If only vaping started with mm, we'd all be using mm.

lol the chart is great, but i dont exactly have a micrometer to measure .5mm for this 24g. all i can say is that it doesnt match or work like any other 24g i have bought whether through GPLAT or ebay..

I too have found the guages of all the SS wires inaccurate, or that's what it looks and feels to me. I don't measure, just coil and vape.
nothing to see here

I don't find the guage wrong but the springiness causing the coil ID to be larger. So my 2.5mm ID really comes out to about 2.9mm

I have a roll of this wire and calipers. This wire measures exactly .5mm.

@FoxVape.....yeah it's really hard to find good SS that's annealed like KA1 and N80, I like MXWS but the stuff i use now I can't put down....for not infringing on the whole "no posting other companies info" we'll leave it at that but milled in the US and the 316L has virtually no springiness and the wire is clean as hell. Ill post a pic of the Alien I just did out of 26X3/32 SS316L....tried the same build with other wire and I could not work it right
