Burned
Hey guys!
I bought this wire with others as well when I started to rebuild. Did my first build 6 wraps 3mm spaced(can't fk up right?), with cotton bacon. Taste was really good, but then after 1 day.. boom, burned coil. Tried to dry burn it,I thought maybe it will refresh it, no luck. Before rebuildables I only used SMOK premade coils and those lasted 1-3 weeks and I saw reviews and everything saying that this should last the same if you rewick them, but my coils only lasted 1 day with this wire.Tried twisting it, using double wire, wicking it properly, then looser then tighter, trying everything between 4-12 wraps on both the 24 and 28 ga SS, no success. Is this normal? I mean i bought some prebuilt coils from MKWS ss 316l tried the simple clapton one and same results, lasted 1 day(wick was perfect tho,no burns in the wick). But on a premade from wotofo lasted me 3 weeks. Also forgot to mention that the wires basically turned black in the middle. Is anyone experiencing the same? Am I doing something wrong because i can see so many people liking this wire, but my experience with it was pretty bad..

Space the coils to start out with so that there is no hot spots. I have to read into what you are trying to do, to get more perspective.

How many watts are you trying to use with this wire, and is it a regulated Mod?

I mentioned I spaced them "Did my first build 6 wraps 3mm spaced(can't fk up right?), with cotton bacon.". Those were my first builds, so I spaced them just to be sure i'm doing everything right.

Regulated mod, tried it on Alien 220, VooPoo Drag and Tesla Nano as well, same result. Started really low and went up to like 35-50 depending on the build. Right now i have a build on it, 10 wraps, not spaced, 3mm diameter. Same result, burned. Flavour on point tho.

Personally I think 24 G wire takes too long to heat up to get a good vape with Stainless Steel, and you might be compensating to get the wanted vapor density from it. It takes too long to heat up, and cools too slowly! It will burn your wick without Temperature control.

There is not much that can go wrong with wire production I would suggest maybe trying a good calc to get the correct build I use this one WIRECALC I find it great.
