What kind of pre-made coils should I get?
Hey everyone

Can I get some pre-built coil recommendations please?

I'm looking at this listing: https://www.fasttech.com/products/4470500

What would you suggest?

Thank you

Hey thank you. I will get some of these to try, never used alien clapton before.

It says these are 5.5mm in diameter. Would you be able to use even a larger one? Is there much space left?

Thanks :)

I am not really the guy to ask tech questions about coils, I dont really care much about sizes and ohmage, I just get a no-headaches type and use them as is :)

These I can slide a very tight fit of cotton bacon in them and they work flawlessly for weeks on end, then they clean up easy with a few dry burn when the vapor production goes down and that is all I care about!

Very rigid coils, easy to mount on decks

5.5 mm is width

4.5 mm is outer diameter and the inner diameter is 3mm

Maybe but probably not.

I wouldn't go any larger in a 22mm RDA, not much space compared to a 24mm RDA

To give you and idea, Clapton and fused Clapton coils in Hadely, about same size as coils martinc linked SKU 9646294

BTW, bigger is not necessarily better . ;)

Hey there, thanks for your help.

It's great to know I should be getting coils 5.5mm or less in diameter.
I was about to order something 6mm by 7mm!

I have never had the pleasure of using anything but regular, boring kanthal coils on a Subtank RBA.
Now I am getting one of these babys and really looking forward to it.

Are there any coils you'd absolutely recommend?
Or should I simply just pick up the ones linked by martinc?

The mod I will be using goes up to 50w max and I don't think I'd exceed 35-40 anyway.

Million thanks :)

Not 5.5 mm thats the width, they are 4.5 mm outside diameter and 3 mm inner

I also answered your other question about bell caps in your other thread.
