I just posted in the other discussion but if you use the 18650 tube and substitue the end cap for a provari mini end cap it becomes an 18500 mod. No rattles and the spring is not stresses



Does the P3 end cap work as well?

My 101 arrived a couple of days ago, and has a stainless steel end cap, not the gold-colored. I'm not sure if it's older stock, or if they stopped making the gold one. The last post above this one is from over 1 year ago. Mine does not accept 18500 batteries as it came, but the end cap from my Provari Mini does fit to use them.

I had forgotten about an Atmistique Twins telescopic ProVari battery extension stuck away in a drawer.. I think the 101 looks pretty good in 18500 mode with it:
