Been using this thing since the V1.

Coil Master weren't alone in copying the original Curo Concepts design. Bought a couple of the cheap-o no-name versions at the time too, but the CM version prevails.

I've still got some of the older coiling jigs that pre-date this set, but they haven't been used in years.
It's twelve inches long, but don't use it as a rule...

Definitely not.
I have spaced A LOT of coils on my CM Coiling Kit V4 during the last 4 years.

I think you might be confusing this one (V4) with the earlier models.
The rods for the V3 and the V4 are 42 mm in length, so plenty of room for spacing there.

The rods for the V1 and the V2 on the other hand are significantly shorter which some might find difficult to space on.

These days I only use the rods from the V2 to hold and position coils on my build decks.
