As everyone is saying building your own is the way to go... I started with this though SKU 3986400 its given me a little variety to play with while i figure out where to go from there

Playing with ni200, nichromium, ss, kanthal, twisted coils is imho something for more experienced vapers. Maybe op is, maybe not. I would start with 26, 28 and 30 kanthal, and then see from there. Just my opinion.

I'm using 7 wraps 27awg kanthal with 2mm ID (0.92ohms, 14.1W @ 3.6V), on 45 degree angle and s-wick. Pretty much perfect with a mech.

BTW: The "Lite" iteration of the Kayfuns are best between 0.8ohms to 1.2ohms. Anything below 0.8ohms has the potential to scorch the interior insulators. I always strive for 0.9ohms.

Back then I always ran my Kayfun Lite > 1ohm, usually @ 1.2 – 1.5. For years I had one paired with a Kato mech and for me it was the perfect one-the-go stealth setup.

Do you know what the insulators are made of? They look like pei even on the authentic Kayfuns and no mention of material on authentic replacements.

So you have to be very careful in dry burning coils on this one, I suppose.

Btw, will the decks for the Kayfun Lite Five Pawns SKU 9541900 possibly work on these?

I have some peek insulators I bought here, you know, before the Kayfun purge fiasco.

Nice, thank you.

If ever I burn the insulator on the Lite, I'll just buy that deck and get a non painted deck and adjustable airflow too.

SKU 9618140 will fit the Kayfun Lites.
