Wow! Ultra light version!
Virtually half of the weight of the stainless steel version. That's a big difference.

I agree, this is a very light weight mod. I'm in!
Anyone own an aluminum mech? How does it look matched with a SS tank... stupid or good?
Thanks

Nice.
And only 72mm in height.
But 24mm, there are no old style RDAs in 24mm.
And no beauty rings 24/22.
And Alu has a problem: thread oxidation,
some of my older Nemesis Alu will not open.

I wonder how long the aluminum switch will last compared to SS what with aluminum being a softer metal. I'm also wondering if the threads will wear out quickly too.Anyone have experience with aluminum mechs?I think they were very smart to put brass end caps on the mod, at least the 510 threads should hold up.I have to admit, the weight of this mod is so very attractive that it is cart bound regardless.Thoughts?

Alu together with brass or copper threads is not the best idea, electrical corrosion.
But I think hardened Alu is close to copper when we think about the switch leaf.
