I think these things are fantastic for noobs that want to get into mech mods or for someone who just likes to have a little safety in their lives, they also have a very cool innovative way of changing battery size without all the tubes and adapters. These mods still need to be treated as mechs and builds need to be suitable for your batteries. Good thing is someone might not lose their teeth if they get it slightly wrong, they probably just need to replace the chip after it pops. Yes I agree they should be branded as "semi" mechanical and "mech noobs"should be encouraged to use these as a first stepping stone towards mechanical mods. There are hundreds of FULLY mechanical mods out there if that's your thing and you have the knowledge and confidence to use them.

nothing "regulated" about it. What defines a noob?

Brass construction
Compatible with single 18650, 20700, 21700 battery (battery sold separately)
110W max output
Multiple protection features makes the tube safer to use
LED light indicates the battery level
Advanced mech mod with chip protection
Innovative electronic switch
The bottom button feels more comfortable
510 threading connection
*chip protection
And * multiple protection features is what makes this "regulated" so how's this device not "regulated" and what defines a boon is are they "new" to whatever it is you're talking about at the time in this case it's vaping.so if someone is new to vaping then they are a "noob"

Thanks grundy.

You can't have "110W max output" without regulating the output. You can't have an "electronic switch" and call it "mechanical". A plain 21700 tube mech will do an excess of 110W on a 0.11 build.
I'm not saying this product isn't awesome for a novice looking to get into tubes, or even a budding coil builder who isn't 100% confident in their ability to build towards a target resistance/heat flux on a mech. I just happen to be pointing out that the marketing and labeling for this is disingenuous.
Now they will know why they are afraid of the dark. Now they learn why they fear the night.

Noobs wouldn't know the difference and for that reason, it's actually safer to call it a mech mod and not have to worry so much about people blowing batteries up. The people who know the difference don't need to worry.
FYI - some of these regulated tubes hit harder than mechs as well.

What worries me is that people will use these thinking it's a mech mod. Then they'll get a real mech mod, thinking they already know how they work, and... boom, no more teeth.
