That said, don't know how Quebec was last year in relation to Ontario despite being next door to one another but I have never seen mosquitoes as annoying as they were in 2021. Indeed 2 friends of mine here from India, which they claim to be the mosquito capital were humorously complaining on several occasions how much worse they were here in Toronto than India. They were so covered in bites in September (as was I) they were at first concerned they had inadvertently been invaded by bed bugs but once discovering all of us were getting the same bites at dusk they relaxed. This year I figured I would need mosquito repellant at dusk so although I have little faith in this product would still be interested to hear how it works out. Edited on 3/8/2022 at 7:02 PM. I don't know what Avon put in that skin lotion as its not intended or marketed as a bug repellent, but it works better than even the heavy strength DEET creams and sprays. I can personally attest that it works amazingly well and doesn't smell bad like some bug sprays. It's an absolute mystery to me how it works so well against mosquitoes, but like I said, even the grunts in the Army use it instead of their issued DEET products. Amazing stuff. edit: I can also recommend the Burt's Bees brand natural mosquito repellent.
