No doubt, this thing is awesome, but Theme Designer is kind of cryptic.

Okay one hint...
If you hover over any setting or adjustment for a couple seconds, directions will pop up for guidance. it can help tremendously....
Also be sure to check out the hundreds of premade themes on Evolvs "Theme Park". Usually I find one with the "home" and "main" page features i enjoy (watts/ohms/volts/amps/puffs/time of day) then adjust the colors, fonts, sizes and backgrounds, effectively creating a new theme from an existing framework.
Also on Evolv's site is the "video walkthrough", which is great when you have the time. and features tips for navigating the software.

And....
...the shipping date has been pushed back yet again. Now it's the 10th of September.
If shipping slips back much more, there's a chance FT won't get a stock of these at all, and there'll be refunds offered all round (it's happened with Lost Vape kit here before - just saying, be prepared for the possibility).
It's twelve inches long, but don't use it as a rule...

Whew, damn FT, that's ROUGH. A certain US dealer on the periodic table has a 15% off mod sale , just launched a few moments ago...that's where I got mine a LONG time ago, lol.
Don't miss out, It's the best of 2021 so far...

That's your right, but can you name a better mod that's come in 2021? I can't, and I imagine I see a lot more mods overall.
It's my mod of 2021 so far.
EDIT: read your post now, it's a fair assessment with only one complaint that I see, the battery cap. If twisted all the way tight, it shouldn't extend past the bottom. Keep turning! it's tight, but not because you are squeezing the cell (you can check), it's due to the waterproofing ring. Turn until it stops, not until it gets tight.
Don't need any BS, it's a suggestion that works in most cases with most users' mods. If you don't want to agree, that's your right, but ....it works.

The battery cylinder in mine extends just under a half millimeter too far, care has to be taken when setting it on a flat surface.
Far from my first rodeo skippy, the cap will only screw so far into the battery cylinder.
