That's a really good price. If there are any mech users out there, I wouldn't wait too long.

No, for many reasons.
I had a bad experience with that "quarter turn lock" of the button on another mod. It doesn't stay in place and opens accidentally all the time.
The switch lock seems to be awkward.
It is overpriced for a tube mod.
I don't mind mods with a stupid name, but this one is really really really stupid.
Not for me.

Nah, sticking with my Mecha(s). Zero button wobble and no button exposure, knurled tube, almost zero maintenance. Like, two years edc now. Similar contact surface area, delrin insert. I guess this may be an "ok" mod if you need 21700 but...I don't like the 1/4 turn button release at all. Overall design is pretty slick cosmetically but unless that is a matte anodized finish it is going to rub off with any use.

Edit: Oh yeah, "Heavy Hitter"? Please......Might be great for the patreon fan bois though.

This is a great, totally worthy mech. the price makes it a no-brainer for those who need a reliable mech, I've had mine (*featured in VApe Porn, I think) since release, and I paid 75.00, that has been a fair purchase. Will last forever, and the black coating is very attractive/ matte / not shiny.

Oh yeah, I forgot: One of the reasons I like it so much is the two included 510 top platforms, the larger one being 28mm (I think), or basically that same diameter as the Sherman and Fatality rtas...not a normal size, so it's nice to have a mech option that fits perfectly. The standard is meant for 25mms, but 26 is actually a more "perfect" fit (Isolation Tank, etc.)

We all know we should just trust your word C4W because of your extensive knowledge of all things vape. I mean that. But when I read, "will last forever", it just makes me wonder. The only device that will last forever is the one that sits on the shelf, or the one in such a huge collection that it rarely gets used. While it may be "worthy" of collection and may be a good device, only edc over a protracted period of time and use will tell if it is truly "worthy". If the black matte finish is a coating, it is going to wear off, not that it matters unless you're into pristine collectable mods used rarely or not at all. Even a well anodized finish wears.

As to the device itself, in my experience of tube mods switch wobble is unstable over time and eventually creates angles of no fire. Maybe the ball bearing will help alleviate this, remains to be seen over months of use. No one, it seems, has ever bothered to replicate the Mecha switch which, indeed, fires at any angle and never fails. Fit and finish seem well executed, but I won't be investing even with the two tops.

ALL finishes will wear or chip with time and repeated use, if it's something that bothers you then go for a plain Brass, copper or SS version. The clear coat on brass and copper mods can discolour, chip and get a little tired after a few years but it's easy to remove with paint stripper and refinish with automotive clear coat if you don't care for the 'patina' look.

When it comes to temperamental switches I've found that invariably it is caused by something dumb - with clones in particular they have a nasty habit of over-spraying with clear coat and generally large areas inside the switch will have clear coat screwing up the conductivity. I've also had occasions when the fckn threads were clear coated lol. Just spending 10 minutes stripping the overspray can turn the most temperamental switch into something that fires instantly every time.

I've invested in a bunch of clone tubes and took the precautions as listed above. None fired reliably after months, sometimes weeks, of use. I don't have the budget to spend and shelve like some. I was thoroughly worn out trying to find a reliable mech tube and came across the DJV Mecha on a pre-order. I read and watched all kinds of reviews, mostly interested in the switch of course. I took a gamble on innovation and now have two. I never looked back. They are now virtually unobtainable, except maybe a clone which was garbage. This is the switch, and it looks fiddly as hell, but I have both of mine in edc since purchased and the design has held up flawlessly. If they came back into production, or some other maker produced a device with this switch design, I would buy another two.

Ok, I watched another review of this mod just to see the switch design a little better. It seems that the "ball" is on a post and that is captured by a square hole that mates with the button mechanism. It looks a little better than what I saw at first sight, and this design may actually defeat the problem with not being able to fire 360 degrees. I still do not like the wobble and nor am I fond of a protruding button even if it is lockable. Maybe I am just too picky.

I did penance once by serving 70 plus half way house citizens every Thursday night for a couple years.

Worst night ever was seeing my copper mod hit that tile kitchen floor.

I finally got the dent rounded a couple days later but ss mechs only from then on on Thursday.
