No I am not a control freak.

I don't dislike you

Well, I am glad for that.

There are others here far more dislikable than yourself.

I am only "dislikable". Not disliked? This seems a contradiction.

I am not the one with the issue. You are.

So very consistent. Thank you for your astute observations.

I'm out.....have some fun. Eh?

Each and everyone of us will be considered dislikable by at least one person here but often for reasons apart from their personality.

Who they are friends with. Who they might vote for. Etc.

I don't dislike you. I am sure if I met you in person and neither one of us knew the other from here we would get on just fine.
I cannot say that about everyone though.

There might be certain online traits I do not like where you are concerned but again, I understand a lot of this is due to being online.

One thing about FT is that it has cu red me of ever wishing to spend time on social networks again, at least in a personal capacity.
I use FB for dog groups or various vegan recipes but I don't engage with people personally. I am there strictly for information on the related subject.

For someone such as yourself whom claims not to be terribly fond of the human race overall, it surprises me you would spend any time online with people. 😂

I was asked by a member, "Do you ever ask yourself why you're here?", and after reflecting for some time I have an answer.

I like it here, most times. I like that we do not all agree. I like that there is a multicultural/multinational environment in which to share views. I like that very many of us are highly opinionated and passionate. I do not see this environment as just a vape site. If these reasons make me "pathetic" in someones view, so be it, color me "no f**ks given".

not to be terribly fond of the human race overall

I love the "human race", I just think there are flaws in our conditioning and that we will self-destruct if we don't recognize our flaws and rectify them. It is a case of, it is not who we are, it is what we do.

I am likely one of the last here to care what people think and/or whether it comes to how much time one spends here.
Much is made of post count which IMO is a false manner of gauging time for its quite obvious a great number of long term member type little but are there to troll rather quickly when the object of their dislike gives them reason.
Hence, ones post count is not indicative of time spent here so I personally would not pass judgment as to why you like it here or spend the time here that you do.

Some people whom are very quick to condemn you for the time you have spent here, spend an inordinate amount of time on other vape sites, groups on Facebook, YT vape videos, DIY flavour pages/groups/forums, etc.

If you choose to get all of your vape info here rather than spreading yourself out over many other forums and groups, so be it. It is just another silly slur people use that have nothing better to argue about.

I love the "human race"

Will have to get back to you on that one. I once did. Believe that the pandemic has temporarily cured me of people and I am much choosier IRL today who I spent time with. And when I do, I have strict rules. I don't discuss politics, religion or any other divisive subject. I prefer to know people superficially and don't want to have reason to dislike them.

Familiarity breeds contempt. The less I know, the better! 😁

Here, we are in alignment.

On the love of humankind, as witnessed most recently in some of the clips I have seen from Ukraine, humans are capable of performing wondrous acts of kindness for each other and on the other hand, despicable acts of terror. It is the former, rather than the latter, that must prevail if the species is to survive, obviously. I think that comes down to conditioning. We are conditioned to find difference and inequality and to put up barriers of hatred and apathy. The only way that changes is to recognize it within our own minds and do the work to re-condition our thinking. One Old Mans Opinion...OOMO.

It's how governments around the world survive

divide and conquer, split opinions, create barriers

unless it's a dictatorship

in which case it's just conquer

people in the "west" huv been hoodwinked

intae believing they're free and democratic

capitalism doesnae work in the same way as communism doesnae work

one system hus been found out and exposed as oppressive

the other hasnae, as yet

given time it will

if indeed we huv that time

Trust and respect is a person to person experience

you've either got it or yi don't

I am finding it easier to discern between the "hoodwinked" and those with eyes wide open. Like Putins conscripts, we are fodder in the game being played, no matter what "nation" we live in. If we believe otherwise we're fools IMO. No matter the "regime" a wage slave is a wage slave. It just seems the Capitalist West, in general, has the edge in numbers and, perhaps, a better marketing program for now. You know, a bigger carrot.

Trying to understand. What is hasnae?
Suggesting that capitalism is the same as communism?
Say what?

Capitalism is the best system. What is far from perfect is Unfettered Capitalism. Quite the distinction between Capitalism and its Unfettered version.

We here in Canada are a capitalist country with a bit of socialism thrown in. In theory it is the best system available but in practise today we have Unfettered Capitalism. Combined with governments one can steal lie and cheat the system and there are no longer any repercussions for doing so, nor accountability or shame.

So the issue is not Capitalism but the Unfettered version which must be altered but not sure how communism could be comparable.

Unless I am not understanding the initial comment made.

But whatever. Only had 3 min to read and write so...might have got it all wrong

The beauty of the USA (sounds like Canada too) is you can still change what isn't agreeable.

Be like Gumby and bend.

For old folk be like a blade of grass again instead of oak.

Living long and strong in one place is for old folk.

Even an ant that crawls and dies in a few days sound better than eternity never seeing past your own shadow.
