lil_buddy, it's just like fleabay or ae... they have policies. I lost money once in the past for not knowing the terms and not making a buyer protection claim in time (at fleabay).

It's a matter of learning-the-hard-way, and thereafter thoroughly acquainting oneself with the policy, the time limits, the procedure, etc.

Actually, it is nothing like that since ebay's return policies are very clear and not arbitrary. This is not even close to my first time ordering online.

The new iphone screen I ordered off ebay with the bezels glued in and oleophobic coating for $18.65 (half of FT's) says "30 days money back or replacement, buyer pays return shipping". Pretty simple stuff.

I guess I can see what paypal's dispute team thinks of FT's random policies.

Often the cost of return shipping does not make it worthwhile.
If dealt with here properly, FT will have you send it to them, via Miami if you are in North America, and then reimburse you for that cost upon its return.

Here's a detail: I'm not returning for a replacement so that doesn't apply

Here's another detail: Standard Return Policy says, "Not happy with a product? Return it to us. You may return undamaged items to us postmarked within 45 calendar days of delivery. If the return is not a result of our error, customers will be required to cover shipping cost both ways. Please make sure the item is returned in the original condition, with the original packaging and accessories."

Got anything else?

Not sure what to tell you Lil Buddy but shopping in China can be a bit of a crap shoot.

If it were me I would try to have them give you a RMA code, send it back, they will return your shipping and perhaps take a similar, or other item, if possible, for the same price.
Sell it online once you receive it and get your $$ back that way...




Edit: Also, i use PayPal so if there are problems, I let them deal with it.

I don't blame you for hurting, I would be too. The return could have been for a refund. You needed to look for the policy that applied to your situation, a damaged product. You can see that the "not happy with a product" applies to undamaged items. Your item was defective. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to comprehend its meaning.

You think I don't feel for you, but you're so wrong. I would be burning now if I had suffered the loss. I do know the feeling.

But I also know business.

Just like a courtroom. A judge looks at the contract. If you didn't see or understand the details, the judge is not going to side with you, it's just business.
