Has Xiaomi dropped their brain somewhere? Please help them find it.

$1000 phone SKU 8896200 and the cameras are 12MP rear and 5MP front. Are they insane? Why would anyone in their right mind buy this POS and not buy the latest iPhone?

On the other hand, they've just released the Mi A1… a snapdragon 625 with dual rear cameras and stock Android for about £180. It's available for pre-order at BG, Fasttech you should get it too. I will buy it if you can beat competition prices.

I guess FT got the price a bit wrong for reasons of "too early"

From what I read the most expensive version (8GB memory) has a fully ceramic body for about 600€. Standard version (6GB) alu/steel starts at 422€.

That's not really out yet. The price is not set. Its now selling at $850 on their home site @ ali

The elephone S8 looks like better value for money

I can get this for £450 elsewhere I don't think you can blame Xiaomi for this one, it's fts fault for listing it at double it's RRP.

I appreciate a lot about the iPhone, but I'd never buy another one, and I'd certainly take this $600 "PoS" over one.
