I appreciate a lot about the iPhone, but I'd never buy another one, and I'd certainly take this $600 PoS over one.

Who keeps an iphone for 4 years?
YIKES.

Use whatever you fancy.

I do use iPhones but have equally loved my android phones and at some point will likely use another.

Well, my requirement is a good camera phone.

I had the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 .. Now I have the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. Both phones were a piece of shit.

So what would you recommend for a "good camera" phone?

My requirements ..

1. 20MP rear camera (don't care about the front camera, I hate selfies because I look ugly).
2. PDAF (hate other auto-focus technologies).
3. 3GB RAM (4GB is more than enough, don't need more than that).
4. 64GB ROM (don't need SD card and bullshit).
5. 3000 mAH or close to that battery.

These are the only parameters I care about. Don't need finger tough lock/unlock and similar bullshit because it farts out in a few months.

Would appreciate recommendations. Thanks.

@Andyk
Oneplus5 or wait for the 5t I am biased though I've had a oneplus3 for a year and it's been flawless and charges so fast you can watch your bar go up. I've heard that the camera on the 5 is one of the best if not the best too.

I'm sort of battling between the HTC Desire 10 Pro and the OnePlus 5. Both are available at the moment.

OnePlus 5 as you said, seems to be a better option but a little on the costlier side. However, compared to iPhones, it's half the price. Not a bad deal at all. I really don't have the patience to wait for 5T. I might just pull out my CC on the 5 soon.

Thanks for the suggestion lightofjah!

Np Andy dont think you can go wrong with either of them, I had a HTC (M7 I think) a few years back and it was fantastic.

Cool man, ordered OnePlus 5 .. should get it within this week. Ordered directly from OnePlus India website. Costed 35k INR .. that's about $500

Nice hole in the pocket but it's worth the spending. Needed a good phone with a good camera. Been going with $150 to $200 phones, all crap! Finally spent on the best camera phone I could find. Of course, with your help :)

Thanks again!

I'm still using a OnePlus One I picked up shortly after it's release. It's been the best phone and can run everything I throw at it without any latency. Somehow the battery is even still in excellent condition. Match it with Lineage OS and it's an outstanding device despite it's age. OnePlus is a solid company. Although not without their issues... like the latest jelly scrolling problem.

I was an early purchaser of the One Plus One years ago. Absolutely loved that phone.

No idea how v5 is as i gave my v1 away 2 years ago but I wouldnt hesitate to use the One Plus One again if it as good as the v1 was.

So +1 for OnePlusOne's
