They listed a hex-copter tonight even, all are fair game. There are a few reviews, but not enough, and even less discussions to research :-\

When I said quad copter I meant any multi bladed copter, they're easier to fly than helicopters. I bought a SYMA X5C SKU 1835900 after a fair bit of research. Big enough to make it worthwhile but cheap enough to learn to fly one without worrying about trashing or losing it, nearly lost mine, got it stuck 40 feet up in a tree, long story but did get it down, eventually. ;)

How tough is it? My last copter took a bit of a beating from crashes and went kaput within a month.

Whatever you choose, make sure there are plenty of spares for it...specially the blades which tend to fly off...and buy a few dozens right away.

No spare blades,stay awaaaaaaaaaay

It's had plenty of bumps and crashes, survived being stuck in the tree for 2 weeks and flew as soon as a new battery was put in. You will need to buy spares. Spare blades, don't skimp on those, cheaper ones tend to be brittle so break easily, as many batteries as you can for more play time when out with it and spare lens covers for the LED's, they get lost frequently.

The syma x5c-1 is a good starter quad. Spares are plentiful. Get extra batteries, props and motors.
