You are living in the US bible belt in the middle of nowhere,
and you are too stupid to understand international news.

Yeah well, money is more important than life in America. Just look at our healthcare system. Says everything about our general mores right there. We could improve if we wanted; Obamacare was a good start and did set up a framework that can be changed over time to emulate the system that you have had in Germany since Otto von Bismarck, but, we probably won't do that.

Nobody in this world understands this US healthcare and political voting system.
The world can say: OK, that is their choice, live with the problems.

But the question is:
a nation which cannot solve easy homemade problems,
is this the nation which will guide the western world?

I hope: Yes.
But the discussion in EU has started.

Back to the topic:
This Tesla is loosing now compared to EU brands.
I dont see the big US innovation.
When China will start producing cheap electrical cars,
the western world can close their car production.

+1 details
I'm unimpressed w/ Tesla EVs myself. *shrug*

But, yeah, I'm kinda guilty of being the typical American there. Gonna be hard to get me to want drive something that's at least not a 3.0L V6.

As far as innovation from Tesla in general I don't really see any except for Starlink.

After 2 years in rotation, my 3 18650 10A LGs
are at the end of their life by light use in the tube mod,
capacity down by about 30 to 40%.

This is only 15$ for 3 new ones.

But an electric car has much more cells.

Do we have to exchange them every 5 years for 3.000 dollars?

I dont trust the story which car manufacturers and politics tell us,
started by US Tesla.

I think Tesla guarantees their batteries for 8 years or 100k miles, but when they need to be replaced yeah it costs a pretty penny.

But really it's just general maintenance at this point that's so ridiculous, like charging $1400 to 3000 for a rim. At this point they are still rich peoples' toys.

If you have that kind of money to burn, why not just go all out and get a Polestar?

That is a joke by Tesla, they know you will sell the car after 5 to 6 years.
With a total 2.500 reduction in price each year.

Polestar looks nice, but remember Volvo is Chinese, think about the spare parts.

And think about burning electric cars,
they throw them in big water containers.

Once you drive a Tesla, you'll realize the whole "power" thing was a myth. The things can slam you back like a V8.
What does he mean when he says words?

For me a very small high power car is much more fun,
best would be a Lotus Seven better than a Porsche 356.
But thats Europe, hills and 4.5 meter wide roads.
And parking for a car is small in Europe,
max 4.8m long and 1.9m wide is practical possible.
Europes SUVs are getting smaller and smaller,
EDIT: Now about 4.2 to 4.30,
nobody wants to be seen in a 5.5m SUV.
This time is over.

Oh yeah certainly not denying EVs have the power. Just too new and too expensive. They are still luxury goods for most. That will change, but we aren't there yet. I'd imagine whoever does get it right won't be Tesla though.

Some car manufactures play a game,
which a lot of people dont understand completly.
Today Diesel and mixed fuel and EV engines,
have a very low and cheap consumption.
But they ww lifted the vehicle weight.
That means:same like before, because weight needs fuel or kWh.

Answer: reduce weight by half and power consumption is at 50%.
