Airlocks
Sometimes I get airlocks, now with certain rtas and my juice which is quite viscous, I know it can happen. But lately i get it sometimes with atties I wouldnt expect like the dvarw and adding some water doesn't really helped. I tried short, long, rayon, loose, tight wicks but I cant really say its better. Only option sometimes is unscrewing the top cap and let it bubble. So, every idea here is welcome.

Besides the basics*
•less wick
•thin out juice
There is the Diy route
•Drill\grind open the juice channels
Or as a wise ass once suggested...
•tighten down the AFC and suck harder.

Just a thought, but are you in a colder environment than usual?
It's surprising how air temperature can alter wicking efficacy on MTL or smaller airflow attys.
It's twelve inches long, but don't use it as a rule...

I wonder if certain flavors can make juice more prone to airlocks. Bcs, i make 2l of base (3mg) and sometimes i have it, sometimes not, using the same base. Temp is always the same here: hot, around 100F

You've probably tried, but I've fount it's best to cut the wick at a downward angle towards the addy so the wick is flat when stuffed in leaving no wick showing in the weep holes. I vape 0%pg with no watering down and it wicks fine.

Now that you mention it, I am also curious. Way back when I used to diy large amounts, I noticed some "profiles" didn't wick the same even though the base was never changed. Menthol for one, I always have to add a drop of water no matter I blend.

Not much feedback. Anyone experienced a difference with different vgs? I normally used palm derived vg but this time used soy derived. Maybe a difference in viscosity?

i've always found it to be rta dependent, some suffer worse than others, and those go to the back of the line! One thing to note: most Chinese atties are designed with 70/30 juice in mind, while many European MTL rtas (originals and their clones) use much thinner juice, ala 60/40.
I've inadvertently changed juices in a rta, only to realize the current juice is 70/30, when i was previously using 80/20. Just that bit made leaks for days.

any chance this only happens when the tank is very full?
to get a useful volume of flow by expansion/contraction with a set pressure change
there needs to be a minimum volume of airspace acted upon

No, i know about the minimum volume of airspace. I put my money on sticky flavors. I used 60ml of rootbeer with a zeus x and no problems. I changed to vanilla custard, same atty, and suddenly it was there.

That's the far past...In Europe at least, most liquids they sell are 50/50, if not all of them, or you can choose options (which is rare today)
