Probably not very accurate
Good cheap luxmeter, uses 2 common AAA batteries, measures up to 200.000 lux.
I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it gives very consistent results every time in same conditions. I bought it to compare brightness of my flashlights and it works great for that.

What I expected
It is very useful in DIY projects. Also, it is quite accurate. I'm using in in several DIY projects, including the measurement of light spread in my house - to supplement where needed, according to the lux meter :)
