This is a great coiling tool for larger wires or ribbon wire. Unlike the usual coiling tool, there's no need to thread the wire through a hole. Instead, there are two channels in the top of the tool that you can lay the wire into, trap it with your thumb, and coil away. It works for both clockwise and counterclockwise coiling directions.
It's perfect for ribbon wire, parallel coils with round wire, etc. Also a very easy way to make spaced coils.
Good build quality (aluminum) and it comes with rods for 2, 2.5, 3 and 3.5 diameter coils. I got three so I can have one set up for my three most common coil diameters without having to change the rods.
