I knew these were plastic when I ordered them but was expecting them to at least be rigid plastic. The needle bends easily which may or may not be a good thing. Because the needle is plastic the inside diameter is smaller than a comparable 14g metal needle. Works find with room temp PG but not very effective for room temp VG. I would not buy these again unless they come in 10g.

First off this has the same problems as all of this style folding lock pick set so nothing unusual about this one. The picks need a little polish and to round over sharp corners but the material itself is nice and gives reasonable feedback. I modified the high reach hook to a standard hook as the Deforest diamond (half ball actually) can handle the deeper pins. The city rake is well done and works perfectly once polished up. The worm is a little different than most of my worms but works great on file cabinet locks. The half diamond is larger than I prefer but I have left it as-is for the time being as it does work. The half ball makes quick work of single sided wafer locks and is a good size. The torsion wrench works well when it works and is useless when it doesn't which is normal. It is impossible to have a one size fits all torsion wrench. Now for the main problems which is inherent to this design. When working a lock the picks in the handle are not held in place very well and will drop. Not a big deal really but it is annoying. The lock screw kind of works and falls out when least expected. I put a few wraps of Teflon tape around the threads which makes it fit more snug and less likely to back out on it's own. I am not a fan of folding lock picks and wouldn't buy this for what the authentic costs but for this price I can put up with the nuisances. It will obviously never replace my Peterson lock picks but handy to have as a small EDC set. With the proper skill it easily opens padlocks and while feedback isn't the greatest I didn't have too much difficulty opening locks full of security pins.

Personally I love it. I have quite a few series mechanical mods and none are as small or as light as this little pocket rocket. I picked it up on during a 20% off sale and it is by far the cheapest series mechanical mod I own. Although the cheapest price it is not made cheap or feel cheap in the hands. The contours of the side fit the hand well and while the top button feels awkward at first it quickly begins to feel comfortable. The finish is superb coming from the package but I doubt it will hold up under abuse. The threads are smooth and caused no issues. The button can be a little finicky but once you get use to hitting the center it works well. I have put a few builds on my Twisted Messes, Velocity and Doge v2 and all have been superb. Dual 26/32 Clapton's or twisted 26 dual coils running at about .4 to .5 ohm seem to be a sweet spot for me. This is not a mod for the piss ant wispy vapors who can't handle anything above 18 watts. This is for huge flavor filled clouds that leave you feeling like you just drank a bottle of flavoring. Chain vaping on anything higher than 3mg will leave your head swimming in a nicotine buzz so tone down the nicotine and enjoy the flavor.

CONS
hard to find a drip tip that works and looks good
This is a nice compromise between an RDA and a tank. Since there are no holes in the posts it can be a bit of a nuisance to coil. I have been trying this out as my driving dripper as the tank holds enough that I don't have to drip at every stop light. When over dripping it takes awhile for the e-liquid to settle to the tank and I think there are better options for my intended purpose. It was difficult to get a consistent resistance reading without over-tightening the 510 screw. All of my drip tips fit but most leave a bad looking shoulder. I settled on a old carto drip tip that fits flush but has reduced airflow. The single air hole on this RDA is sufficient but not quite large enough for lung hits and too big for mouth to lung. I wouldn't buy this RDA again but would consider trying one with a larger tank.

PROS
Authentic Protank II Well made Great value
CONS
Stock heads terrible
I bought this instead of the Protank 3 because I didn't want the hassle of rebuilding dual coil heads. With the addition of the Areotank base this is an amazing tank with excellent flavor and vapor production. The stock heads insulator is one of the worst I have ever seen and would allow the heads to short out if screwed down tight to any mod I own. I switched them for aftermarket heads I had and they worked fine but I was getting dry hits. I rebuilt them with 1.8 ohm nr-r-nr coils from Fasttech, wicked with cotton and have been in vape heaven with this tank ever since. Running now at 15 watts with the 1.8 ohm coils and cotton with no dry hits, amazing flavor and vapor production on par with some RDA builds.
