PROS
-Clean threads -Sharp, well cut knurling -No indication of O-ring biting -No flaws in SMOOTH reflector -Skillful, tidy soldering -XM-L2 emitter with flawless dome, seated in proper centralizer. -Thermal (pliable, white) glue under emitter -Claimed output appears accurate, by comparison to known.
CONS
-Single mode -Color is 'cool', estimated 2B by comparison to known. -Drop-in is 1 mm smaller dia. than the head; wrapped with copper tape to enhance heat management. This is a common P60 issue, and not unexpected. Wrapping with aluminum foil works too.
Of a half dozen WF-501Bs in my possession, this is one of the best examples I've come across. It's good enough to make me wonder if perhaps it's a "real, genuine" Ultrafire (if there is even such a thing!) The drop-in is branded "UltraFire"; the switch cover is thicker than most and the switch feels crisp and firm. Machining and assembly appear superior. I have a few of the obvious knock off 501s with flat topped knurling, square cut name indentation and thin checkered switch covers - this in NOT one of those. Even the battery tube has been nicely chamfered at the tail end to avoid scraping the battery. Yes, it's still just a humble 501, but I've paid a lot more for a lot worse! I'll be changing the driver, but aside from that I'm quite impressed.

PROS
Considerable mass in the head to dissipate heat. Size is very small, almost exactly the size of the WF-501B. Very 'pocketable'. Two bezels included; one 'pocket-friendly' smooth one. Wide choice of emitters; T6-3C is ideal neutral for my tastes. Switch is firm & crisp. All of my batteries fit, including protected Panny 3400 mAh 18650B.
CONS
None.
These various Convoy lights (I now have an L1, 3 - S3's and 2 - M2s) are probably the greatest value for price of anything on the market today. Quality far exceeds the price point. None have given me any mechanical problems at all and there is an obvious attention to detail (in threads, fit & finish, etc) that is so often lacking in other products. I'm both satisfied and impressed.

PROS
- Very rugged host, thick walls and deep SS bezel. - Very simple to mod, 17 mm emitter & driver on a pill, nothing glued. - "+" contact is a generous blob of solder, "-" is a spring on the switch. - Plenty of threads, deep overlap on head & switch, stout O-rings with spares (and clip) included. - very smooth beam, good hot spot blending smoothly into ring free flood. - tint seems a bit warmer than 1-A, and mine came with XP-G2 emitters.
CONS
- a bit in the large side for 1-AA, but still pocketable. - slightly tricky UI until you get used to it. Goes H-M-L in that order, then strobe and SOS if you keep going, and H-M-L again. After 'off' for several seconds it's back to H-M-L. In this manner, it's possible to avoid the blinkies. - screw-down rings on pill and switch were 1/2 turn loose, and of course the threads came dry. Check those when it arrives.
Way more positives than negatives. Very good value if you don't mind the slightly larger format. In general, it's built like a tank. Light orange peel reflector. I'm very satisfied. A very rugged host, and very easy to modify!
